Why does LIFE deliver counselling training?

LIFE Care services are run to the highest standards. We believe that all our volunteers need to be trained to listen in a non-judgemental and compassionate way. Our skilled listeners and counsellors all follow the ethical guidelines of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy.

Do you have to be a LIFE supporter to come on our courses?

Although LIFE delivers these courses to enable us to train our own volunteers, participants are not required to support LIFE or subscribe to it's views. We believe in equality and that varied values and experience enrich the learning experience.

The courses are authorised by an external awarding body, NCFE, and are designed in line with their course requirements. Courses are generic and are not concerned solely with LIFE issues. The details of the content can be found at www.ncfe.org.uk.
